Affordable Housing
and Community Development
for West Tennessee

Hope of Martin Community Development Corporation received grant funds from the Tennessee Housing Development Agency (THDA) to provide safe, affordable housing for adults with developmental disabilities, individuals with special needs, and the elderly.

The Housing Trust Fund grant was one of 11 projects totaling $2.8 million that were approved during the November 2014 THDA Board of Directors meeting. Hope of Martin CDC will use the grant funds to construct a duplex with three bedrooms in each unit. One unit will be designated as a group home and the others for low-income special needs and elderly residents. The project will assist St. John’s Community Development Services, who is working with Hope of Martin to identify the individuals for the group home, in their mission of integrating individuals with special needs into their surrounding communities.
